In fall 2016, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Dr. Dianne Saxe, will release her first Greenhouse Gas Progress Report as Commissioner. Come to the Ontario Woodlot Conference and hear her talk about Ontario government progress reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and adapting the province to a new climate. Dr. Diane Saxe, the keynote speakers at the conference,  is a highly respected environmental lawyer. She is now a watchdog over Ontario's environmental, energy and climate performance, and guardian of the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993 (EBR).

 The other morning speakers are Register Professional Foresters Barb Boysen on "Shooting at a moving target "and Steve D'eon on "Managing your forest in a changing climate".   The Interesting displays include an arborist up a tree, a portable saw mill,  small tractors, and inside displays.

Indoor and outdoor afternoon events include prairies and savannahs of the Lower Trent, tree identification, tree propagation, the Trent Watershed,  native plants in the woods,   and succession from field to forest.
